Fully-customisable, made-to-order and masters of digital adoption, Tossed made the move to become fully digital in 2016, making kiosks their main in-store ordering method.

increase in Kiosk ATV
of orders with customisations
Tossed is a true early tech adopter in the hospitality industry. They made kiosks their main in-store ordering method in 2016, long before self-service went mainstream. In the same year, they also became the first cashless restaurant chain in the UK.
They remain fierce advocates of digital innovation and are using their kiosk-led model to build back their business after the impact of COVID-19.
Having a solution that was device agnostic was important for Tossed. So, whether customers place orders though Click & Collect using their phone or kiosks, they see the same recognisable menu and branding across all channels.
Using Vita Mojo software, Tossed can now take, fulfil and manage all of their orders, across all of their channels in one central place. Every order, whether from Click & Collect, kiosks or Point of Sale, will feed through straight to the Kitchen.
Since going digital, Tossed have created a new 'host' role. The host is responsible for greeting customers, offering extra support on kiosks and ensuring delivery orders are collected without disrupting the rest of the in-store flow.
The results speak for themselves
With 66% of customers modifying their order, Tossed needed a solution that offered high-level customisations. With Vita Mojo, Tossed can now offer a consistent guest experience with a fully-customisable menu across all of their ordering channels.
With a fully-customisable menu that's made fresh-to-order and a small walk-in footfall window, Tossed struggled to manage speed and capacity during peak periods. Thanks to kiosks, front-of-house staff can now fully focus on food preparation, with increased the speed and quality.
Before digital ordering, the guest experience was often overwhelming with lots of items on the menu board and little time to make a decision during the busy lunchtime rush. Now with kiosks, customers have the time and space to order without feeling rushed.
